Airlines offer free Wi-Fi to Facebook users

February 2, 2011 12:13:19 AM PST
Seven airlines are offering free in-flight Internet access to Facebook users.

The only catch is that Internet access will only be free while travelers are on Facebook, but if they access any other site, they'll be charged.

AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, US Airways and Virgin America are all participating in the program.

Ford Motor Company is paying for the free Wi-Fi to promote its new Explorer SUV.
