WikiLeaks nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

WikiLeaks has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

A Norwegian lawmaker nominated the secret-spilling website saying it has promoted human rights, democracy and freedom of speech.

He compared the website to last year's winner, imprisoned Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo.

The lawmaker also said WikiLeaks exposed corruption in Tunisia's government and helped to bring down that regime.

The prize committee typically receives more than 200 nominations and announces a winner in October.
