Valentine's Day is the day when people find cute and sometimes tasteful ways to say "I love you."

You may be one of the many procrastinators scrambling to get those last minute gifts. Chocolates and teddy bears are traditional Valentine's Day gifts, as well as roses and flowers.

Roses are the number one request this year. The average Valentine's Day customer is paying about $150 for an arrangement in the US.

Spending is up this year for Valentine's Day. Men are still spending more than women at an average of $158, compared to $75 for women. Gifts for friends average a little over $6, gifts for classmates and teachers are a little under $5, and coworkers spend about $3 on each other.

Flowers are the big winner this Valentine's Day, with consumers spending $1.7 billion this year.
