Los Angeles County officials are asking for the public's help to catch a driver in a 2009 hit-and-run incident that killed a wheelchair-bound elderly man in Alhambra.

Investigators said Shih-Siang Ho, 78, was fatally struck on Dec. 1, 2009, at the 6th Street underpass at Ramona Road.

Ho and his family immigrated to the United States in 1980 to seek a brighter future for their children. Ho worked as cook, warehouse and motel clerk, and later owned and operated a convenience store, according to authorities. In 1991, Ho suffered a stroke and became disabled.

Anyone who may have witnessed this collision or anyone with information about the driver or vehicle involved was urged to call the Alhambra Police Department at (626) 308-4804 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
