Minn. mom-daughter shoplifting duo caught

March 2, 2011 12:00:00 AM PST
A Minnesota mom is accused of shoplifting from a grocery store and using her daughter as an accomplice.

The incident, which took place at a store in Elk River, Minn., was caught on surveillance camera.

Security immediately became suspicious of the two because they were wearing sunglasses.

When the duo left the store with their cart full of unpaid items, a security guard waited behind a pillar and caught them by surprise.

That's when they got into a scuffle with security staff. Police showed up and cited both for theft, disorderly conduct and assault.

Authorities said the mother-daughter team had done this before.
