A fallen soldier is now back home.

It was a heartbreaking scene at Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base, where the body of Army Sgt. Jason M. Weaver arrived by private plane Monday afternoon.

The 22-year-old Anaheim native was killed last week by an improvised explosive in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

A video posted on YouTube before his death showed Weaver on patrol in Afghanistan, shaking hands and laughing with Afghan children.

He earned 10 medals and other awards in his military career.
