Surveillance video released in LA shooting

March 17, 2011 12:00:00 AM PDT
Police hope newly released surveillance video will lead them to the suspects who shot a man near Los Angeles' West Adams district a week ago.

The shooting happened about 3:30 p.m. on March 9 on the 1700 block of South Ardmore Avenue.

Officials said two men walked up to a man in his 20s and shot him several times. The suspects then ran to a white 1990s Ford Mustang with flames on the doors and took off with two other men.

The shooters were described as Latinos in their teens or 20s, wearing dark baseball caps. At least one suspect in the vehicle had spiky hair, police said.

It was not clear what triggered the shooting.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information was urged to call Los Angeles police at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).
