The report from the Guttmacher Institute surveyed women from all religious denominations.
Researchers found that 69 percent of women polled used pills, sterilization and intrauterine devices or IUDs as methods of birth control.
The findings also revealed that Catholic women regularly use contraception. Nearly 68 percent of Catholic women surveyed used a birth control method, while only 2 percent relied on the church-approved, natural family planning.
