Daniel Shepherd and wife Gay Davidson-Shepherd appeared in a Westminster courtroom Thursday, where the judge continued their arraignment.
The two did not enter a plea.
The couple is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old male student in 2009.
Daniel taught at Westminster High School at the time, while Gay worked at Mesa View Middle School in Huntington Beach.
