The temporary order, which was issued Thursday, bars David Cocordan from attempting to contact or meet the actress.
In a sworn declaration, Lohan said she was frightened of the 38-year-old man.
Court papers state that Cocordan believes he and Lohan are engaged. He has left her a box of chocolates and other items in the past.
In one text message, Cocordan claimed he was in the courtroom in April when the 24-year-old actress was sentenced to 120 days in jail.
Lohan's publicist did not want to comment on Lohan's security matters.
