The homeless man charged with setting off an explosive device outside a Santa Monica synagogue was scheduled to be arraigned in Los Angeles Monday morning.

Ron Hirsch, 60, faces four federal charges that could send him to prison for 70 years if convicted. Hirsch is accused of detonating the device outside the Chabad House in April, then escaping to Ohio.

Authorities arrested Hirsch and sent him back to California after a rabbi recognized him.
