The Rockledge, Fla. boy said the gator attacked him and some friends while they were fishing in a canal. They tried to reel it in, and eventually subdued it and brought it home.
Dasher's father said the boy often catches snakes, but this went a bit far.
Michael got a stern talk from his father and from police. He has promised to run away next time he encounters an alligator.
