Actor Wesley Snipes' latest attempt to get his conviction and prison sentence on tax charges overturned has failed.

The Supreme Court refused Monday to hear an appeal from the "Blade" actor, who was convicted in 2008 on three misdemeanor counts of willfully not filing income tax returns.

Snipes started a three-year term in a federal minimum security in December.

The 48-year-old also has appeared in films, such as "White Men Can't Jump" and "Demolition Man."
