This week, the average price in some local markets has dropped below $4.
- The average price for a gallon of regular in L.A./Long Beach is still $4.01.
- In Orange County, it's dropped to $3.98.
- In the Inland Empire, it's $3.97.
- In Ventura County, the average price is still $4.02, but that's well below this time last month, when it was $4.29.
Current prices though are still much higher than this time last year.
