The missing dog, Boots, was reunited with his owner and his two brothers on Monday.
Last Friday, the Labrador-Dachshund mix slipped off his leash during a walk.
A man in a van picked him up, but mistakenly thought boots was a stray.
The man's wife saw the story on Eyewitness News, and Boots was returned to the Silverado Senior Living facility where he is once again bringing happiness to the clients.
No charges will be filed.
