Authorities said the officers were in a car near the corner of Interceptor Street and Ramsgate Avenue at about 12:30 p.m. when the two suspects pulled up in a car next to them, asking the officers where they were from.
Before the officers could reply, the suspects opened fire. The officers quickly returned fire, while the suspects fled.
There was a short pursuit, and the suspects were taken into custody.
No injuries were reported. No further information is available at this time.
