Calif. gets nearly $1B in unemployment funds

More help is on the way for California's unemployed. The U.S. Department of Labor announced Wednesday that the state will receive nearly $1 billion from the U.S. Recovery Act.

That money can go toward unemployment benefits, employment services or the state's unemployment insurance program.

Gov. Jerry Brown expects it will help around 26,000 Californians without a job.
