BEVERLY GLEN, LOS ANGELES --
An investigation is under way into a fatal fire in Beverly Glen that broke out at a two-story home Saturday.The home, located along the 2100 block of Basil Lane, was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on scene at about 4 a.m.
It took 50 firefighters about 20 minutes to put out the fire.
Two people were inside the home when the blaze broke out. An elderly woman was killed and a 50-year-old man was transported to an area hospital.
The extent of his injuries was unknown.
