June 13, 2011 12:00:00 AM PDT
A man was hit by a car and killed on the 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles Monday.

All northbound lanes were shut down for a couple of hours at North Alameda Street before reopening around 6 a.m.

Police have not released details of the driver.

Earlier, abc7.com had titled this a hit and run, though police have not described this accident as a hit and run.
