For those who also enjoy the thrill of competition, there's the Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor Eating Contest.
They are holding qualifying rounds at the Mission Viejo Farrell's over the next three weeks. Participants pay $20 to scarf down a 3-scoop sundae as fast as possible.
The fastest eaters will be invited back in July for the championship.
It's all for a good cause. The money raised goes to Children's Hospital of Orange County and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
