A woman's body was found Thursday in an apartment at the Alara Links at Westridge apartments at 25330 block of Silver Aspen Way.
Homicide investigators set up a perimeter at the location and were at the scene all day Thursday.
"It's being handled by the Homicide Bureau as a death investigation," said L.A. County Sheriff's Lt. Dave Dolson. "We just don't know what the cause of death is. Many times we can show up on a dead body and pretty much tell whether it's a natural or a suicide or accident or a homicide. In this case we just don't know yet. The body was found right around 11:30 this morning, and it's a maintenance worker for the complex here."
