Robert and Monique Acosta are accused of causing $160,000 in damage for allegedly trashing their foreclosed home in Murrieta in 2010.
They allegedly ripped items out and stole them.
The Acostas have pleaded not guilty.
The judge called the damage vicious and intentional. If convicted, they could face up to four years in prison.
