Betty Ford to be buried next to husband in Mich.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.

The Ford children were joined for the final memorial service in Grand Rapids by prominent political figures, including Dick Cheney, who was President Ford's chief of staff, Lynne Cheney, former first lady Barbara Bush and former President Bill Clinton.

ord grew up in Grand Rapids, but she spent the later part of her life living in Palm Desert. She died last Friday at the age of 93.

A crowd outside Grace Episcopal Church stood in hushed silence as nine military pallbearers brought her casket inside while softly counting out military cadence.

Ford will be buried at the Gerald R. Ford museum next to her husband on what would have been his 98th birthday.
