Casey Anthony will appeal lying convictions

ORLANDO, Fla.

Anthony filed the notice of appeal on Friday in Florida.

Anthony was acquitted a week ago on charges of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008, but she was found guilty on four charges of lying to law enforcement officers.

Although she received the maximum sentencing, with the nearly three years she has already served while awaiting trial and good behavior credits, she is set to be released from jail Sunday.

Separately, a judge ruled Friday that attorneys for a woman suing Anthony for defamation won't be able to depose her until October. The attorneys had wanted to depose Anthony before her release.
