Census: Calif. median age lower than average

LOS ANGELES

The /*U.S. Census Bureau*/ has put out some numbers from the 2010 Census. The numbers show Californian's median age is 35.2 years.

That's two years older than the previous census conducted in 2000.

The national average age is 37.2.

The average household in California contains 2.9 people.

The report says 56 percent of Californians own their home, while 44 percent rent.
