4 LA officers injured in chain-reaction crash

WOODLAND HILLS, LOS ANGELES

Authorities said all four officers were standing nearby when a black Jaguar, driven by a 64-year-old woman, collided with the cruisers, causing a chain reaction crash early Saturday.

Two officers remained hospitalized, one with severe injuries. The other two officers were treated and released.

Officials said the injuries to the officers included broken noses, broken legs, lacerated livers and broken ribs.

Investigators don't believe alcohol was involved and the driver of the Jaguar may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

No charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.

The officers were responding to a fight at a loud house party.
