Firefighters were called to the two-story house near Hawthorn Avenue and Detroit Street at about 2:30 a.m. They put the fire out in about 15 minutes.
All of the people who were inside the home got out safely, but firefighters said a dog in the house wasn't so lucky. The animal died.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
