Surveillance video shows truck in Anaheim hit-and-run

ANAHEIM, Calif.

Officials are hoping the video will help them catch whoever critically injured a Chinese tourist crossing the 2100 block of South Harbor Boulevard.

Investigators say it shows a silver Toyota pickup truck in a motel parking lot moments after it was involved in the July 27 incident.

"It enters the lot, is in there for about 40 seconds, and it comes back out to Harbor Boulevard. At that point, it looks like the driver may be looking back at the person he has just struck, then he immediately makes a right turn and takes off," said Sgt. Rick Martinez of the Anaheim Police Department.

The pickup had damage to the right front bumper and fender. The 45-year-old victim was struck at around 2 a.m. while crossing the street.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run was asked to contact /*Anaheim*/ police at (714) 765-1860.
