Santa Monica campus lockdown lifted after reports of gunman

SANTA MONICA, Calif.

Santa Monica police said that someone had called police after hearing what sounded like a gunshot.

Police made a sweep throughout the college around 11:15 a.m. The lockdown was lifted approximately an hour later after no immediate evidence of a gunman was found.

School is not in session, but there were some students registering as well as teachers preparing for classes.
