2 SoCal cities make Money's list of best small towns

LOS ANGELES

Money magazine made its selections from cities with populations of 50,000 or less. The small mountain town of Louisville, Colo., topped the list.

The city of Walnut in the San Gabriel Valley ranked 57, and La Palma in Orange County was 65.

Walnut drew praise for its 90 acres of parks, easy access to freeways and good schools. La Palma was cited for its low crime rate and all three elementary schools having free after-school fitness programs.
