Sweep in Long Beach targets rival gangs working together

LONG BEACH, Calif.

Authorities said members of Asian gangs, mostly Cambodians, worked together to steal firearms, marijuana, Ecstasy, Rolex watches and computers, among other items.

Of the 17 arrested, 15 of them are from Long Beach. Felony charges include possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics for sales, elder abuse, forgery fraud and identity theft.

The arrests were a culmination of a four-month-long investigation. They raided 37 locations in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
