Man leads deputies in high-speed chase through Highland

HIGHLAND, Calif.

Authorities said the suspect took off after deputies tried to pull him over at about 5:20 p.m. Friday.

The driver was involved in at least two collisions before stopping near 9th and Del Rosa streets, but then tried to use his vehicle to ram a sheriff's patrol car.

Deputies fired at the man but he took off driving again.

The chase ended on Elmwood Road, where the driver got out and ran into a home. Police went after him and eventually arrested him.

The suspect was treated for his injuries.

No deputies were hurt.
