A Piper PA-31 lost power to the left engine and made the emergency landing around 3:45 p.m. about two miles east of the Banning Municipal Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Three people were on the plane. One person was slightly injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
