Yorba Linda man convicted on 3 counts of rape

FULLERTON, Calif.

Erpinar pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of rape by intoxication and one count of forcible rape, according to the /*Orange County District Attorney's Office*/ (OCDA).

Erpinar is accused of inviting a 22-year-old woman on a date on March 26, 2008. He met the woman on the social networking website MySpace.com. Erpinar went to two parks in Orange County and consumed alcohol with her. He drove the woman to a Newport Beach hotel and raped her, according to the OCDA. She was unable to resist due to alcohol intoxication. She woke up with a cracked tooth and facial scrapes. She went to a hospital to be treated and reported the crime to the Newport Beach Police Dept.

Erpinar invited another woman, 18, on MySpace, and invited her to a La Habra house party on March 7, 2009. After the woman became severely intoxicated, Erpinar raped the woman on the floor of a bedroom as she was unable to resist. She reported the rape the next day to the La Habra Police Dept.

During the investigation, La Habra Police contacted Erpinar's ex-girlfriend, according to the OCDA. Erpinar and the woman dated when she was 17. She reported he was physically abusive to her. Between August 2006 and October 2007, he forcibly raped her, according to the OCDA.

The D.A.'s office said the three women do not know each other.

Erpinar was expected to receive a 15-year prison sentence at a sentencing hearing Wednesday. Some of the victims were expected to give impact statements at that hearing, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
