Chelsea McClelland was arrested in December 2010 near the 10 Freeway and La Brea Avenue when area residents reported suspicious activity.
LAPD sexual assault detail officers found McClelland having sex with her godson, who had just turned 13, in the back of a white van.
McClelland pleaded no contest on Aug. 2 to two felony counts of lewd act on a child under 14. The incidents occurred between Dec. 1 and Dec. 17, 2010, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. In exchange for her plea, two additional counts of lewd act on a child were dismissed, according to the DA.
In addition to her prison sentence, McClelland was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
