'Tourist Bandit' robs banks in Venice, West Hollywood

LOS ANGELES

The FBI said the suspect held up two Bank of America branches, one in Venice on Wednesday and one in West Hollywood on Monday.

In both cases, he claimed to have a bomb and a gun and told the teller he wanted large bills.

The suspect got the name "Tourist Bandit" because he has held up banks in areas that are popular with sightseers. He also wears souvenir sweatshirts.
