Police were called to the home in the 6600 block of Chadbourne Avenue about7:45 a.m. and found the woman with multiple stab wounds. The husband, Bernardino Mendez, was inside the house and was arrested.
The victim, whose named was not released, was treated at the scene and transported to Parkview Community Hospital but died a short time later from her wounds.
The children were placed with relatives by Child Protective Services.
