The burglary was reported on the 7900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.
Deputies met with the owner of the business at the location. The owner had reported suspicious activity at a vacant building next door to the jewelry business.
Deputies found that a suspect or suspects had broken into the vacant building next door through a door on another street. The suspect or suspects managed to break into the jewelry business through the wall of the adjoining building.
Nothing was taken from the jewelry business, according to the sheriff's department.
