Nike to auction 'Back to the Future' sneakers

The company Thursday announced a limited edition shoe based on the pair Michael J. Fox wore in "Back to the Future 2."

Fox's character, Marty McFly, wore glowing sneakers that laced themselves during a visit to the year 2015.

Ever since the movie, sneaker lovers have urged Nike to create the shoes for real.

The company's going to auction 1,500 pairs on eBay with proceeds benefiting The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
