The accident happened Sunday night on the eastbound 101 Freeway at White Oak Avenue in Tarzana.
Two of the victims were hospitalized in critical condition. The third victim is in fair condition.
Authorities said the crash was reported around 9:30 p.m. The eastbound side of the Ventura Freeway had to be shut down completely while the scene was cleared.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
