Bystanders rescue man trapped under burning car

LOGAN, Utah

Brandon Wright, 21, was riding near Utah State University in Logan when he collided with a BMW. The motorcycle, flipped on its side in front of the car, caught fire and began shooting flames.

Realizing a man was trapped underneath the blazing car, a half dozen bystanders rushed to help.

"People were getting down and looking underneath the car. You could see panic. And when I saw that panic, I said 'There is someone either in the car or underneath the car,'" said Chris Garff, the man who caught the incident on tape.

At first, they struggled to lift the car, but as more people rushed to lend a hand, they managed to raise it enough to slide the unconscious man out of harm's way.

Wright was motionless at first, but emergency crews revived him.

The man was in critical condition after surgery but was expected to make a full recovery.
