Study: Early risers are slimmer, happier

LOS ANGELES

Researchers in Britain found that people who stay in bed longer have a higher chance of feeling depressed or stressed and becoming overweight.

One researcher believes early risers, those who were out of bed by 6:58 a.m., probably do better because getting chores out of the way in good time helps people fit in with hectic modern life.

The study was presented at a conference held by the British Psychological Society.
