San Diego beaches reopen after sewage dissipates

September 15, 2011 12:00:00 AM PDT
More than 10 miles of beaches have reopened in San Diego County after a 2-million-gallon sewage spill.

Last week's massive Southern California power outage shut down pumping stations, causing the sewage to seep into the ocean.

It has since dissipated, making the beaches safe again for swimmers.
