Crews make headway on Mint Canyon brush fire

AGUA DULCE, LOS ANGELES

The blaze started Saturday morning near Mint Canyon Road and Sierra Highway in the Angeles National Forest.

No homes or other structures are in the path of this fire, but 640 acres have burned.

One firefighter did suffer a minor injury when he hurt his shoulder during the firefight.

The blaze was 80 percent contained as of Sunday morning. Firefighters are hoping to reach full containment by 6 p.m. Sunday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
