In their Jive, Lake matched the energy of Hough, who is known for his tricky choreography and pushing his partners beyond their limits.

Their Jive got the highest score of the night, 23 out of 30.

Judge Bruno Tonioli told Lake she was the only performer to do all her flicks and kicks correctly.

A point behind and tied for second were Kristin Cavallari with partner Mark Ballas for their Quickstep and J.R. Martinez with partner Karina Smirnoff for their Jive.

"This week, I just wanted to come out there and show them I do have personality and I can bring it to my dancing, and I think that's what I did," Cavallari said.

Then there was a four-way tie for fourth place. Elisabetta Canalis, Rob Kardashian, Chynna Phillips and Nancy Grace all scored 21 points.

"I've never been a good dancer in my life so now I'm working a lot," Canalis said.

Her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, said they were better prepared and she was more confident because of that.

The judges enjoyed Phillips' dance but all thought she played it a little safe.

"I am going to bring a little more va-voom, a little more sexiness next week and hopefully the scores will be a little higher," Phillips said.

Hope Solo and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy came next with a score of 19 for their soccer-inspired Jive.

"I had a smile on my face for the first time the entire performance and I was really happy just performing," Solo said.

David Arquette's Jive got him 18 out of 30 points. Judges Len Goodman and Tonioli complimented Arquette's enthusiasm, but told him he needs to focus on technique.

Carson Kressley also scored 18. The judges all gave him kudos for his entertainment value

Despite a strong effort, Chaz Bono finished at the bottom with 17 points.

"Right now, I'm probably in the worst shape but, hopefully in a couple days I'll be feeling better and just keep going," Bono said.

One of the 11 remaining couples will be eliminated Tuesday night.
