The Trust for Public Land will honor the Playboy magazine founder for helping to save the hollywood sign on Mount Lee.
Hefner and philanthropist Aileen Getty will have their names on plaques that will be placed on big boulders along the trail linking Cahuenga Peak with Mount Lee.
Hefner's million dollar donation helped a fundraising campaign to save the sign from developers who were planning luxury homes on 138 acres above the sign.
