Stevie B arrested for unpaid child support

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.

The 1990s chart-topping singer, whose real name is Steven Bernard Hill, was arrested Friday night at the MassMutual Center, where he was performing on tour.

Hill is best known for the song "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)." It reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts in late 1990.

Police told a local newspaper that the singer was surprised by the arrest and concerned that he might miss a weekend show in Providence, R.I.

Hill is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
