A composite drawing of one of the suspects has been released by the LAPD.
Police say there were five incidents last month where the suspect and another man have approached victims and snatched gold chains from their necks.
Police are warning people to be extra cautious with gold items. They say there has been an increase in gold thefts because of its high market value right now.
