Deputies went to the 3100 block of Heather Ave. Thursday to check out reports of gunfire coming from a home.
Investigators say the suspect refused to come out of a garage.
The deputies entered the garage and opened fire when they were allegedly confronted by a 32-year-old man.
The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His name was not immediately released.
No deputies were injured.
