Authorities found Daniela Botero Moya, 17, and Brooke Melody Leon, 15, in Indio at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The two girls, who were found unharmed, had been reported missing on Thursday.
They were last seen around 10:20 a.m. Thursday at Summit High School in La Quinta.
La Quinta police Lt. Jason Huskey said investigators found that criminal activity was not a factor in the girls' disappearance. No other details about their disappearance or discovery were given.
The girls were reunited with their parents.
